We have asked the owner’s permission to put these details on Freddy’s advert.

The reasons for needing to rehome Freddy are mainly financial. Not just about what he costs but his owner is desperately trying to get back into work after not being able to because of family situations. As a family they are also coming out of a prolonged period of quite significant mental health challenges and after supporting the children through individual situations as a single parent they are just exhausted and care worn.

They all adore Freddy and after long soul searching they feel they need to find Freddy a new home, where he is loved and well cared for, for the rest of his days.

Freddy needs to be an only dog in the home

Older dog savvy children ,13 and above ,this is due to Freddy resource guarding at times(if around visiting young children ,they will need to be supervised as all children should be supervised around any dog)

No cats

You will need a safe and secure garden ,if you have a gate it will need a lock on it

No showboating Freddy at least for the first week,he needs time to settle in his new environment with his new owners

Freddy suffers with some ear issues,this is quite common with poodle crosses.

They need to be checked and cleaned regularly going forward.He has been on ear drops recently.

A few years ago Freedy had issues with his third eyelid,thus resulting in corrective surgery.

Freddy was a wonderful puppy and they had no issues beyond the usual “teething” issues. Freddy completed puppy classes with dogs trust. Quite soon after he was allowed to be out and about and then we all went into lockdown. This obviously impacted him, his owners were always around people and people weren’t coming over, and weren’t interacting with people outside.

They have since gone forward and Freddy is doing better,even visits the pub with them.

Freddy is very affectionate, he loves sitting next to you on the sofa and really enjoys being petted. He’s very playful, loving playing with his family but also good at playing by himself. He has 4 teddies that he plays with most often. Two of them are his sort of snuggly teddies and he will pile them on top of each other and lie on them whilst also sucking bits of them. He settles quickly when he’s given one of these teddies (almost like a comfort blanket and a baby). This is particularly useful when they have people over. He has two other teddies that are his play teddies; he sort of wrestles and shakes them. He is not at all destructive with his toys, the two snuggly teddies were gifted to him by the children ,on the day he arrived with his family and they don’t even have holes in them. Outside he LOVES playing ball but his family don’t tend to encourage it because he get’s very obsessive with balls.

He is intelligent, and trainable…particularly because he’s very food orientated so will really pay attention and work out how to get the treat. His owners would say that he’s better with tricks than obedience. For example what his owners mean is he is very quick to lie down when given the command but as soon as he knows that he executed the command well he get’s up. His owners found it very difficult to get him to go to a “place” (bed for example) and wait until released.They went to agility classes for a few months and he moved from beginner to improver within just a few weeks, again because he was so food orientated he would focus on what he had to do in order to get the treat. Unfortunately they were not able to keep up the classes.

This might be something his new owners might like to continue with in the future.

Freddy doesn’t love other dogs but he’s not reactive towards them. As a young dog he got set upon by another dog,over a ball ,poor Freddy ended up with three puncture wounds. This could be why he is disinterested in most dogs. He can sometimes growl if a dog is overly persistent at trying to interact with him. Never out of the blue, there are always signs first. If he’s off the lead and a dog keeps trying to interact with him he will come back to his owner and stay very close and it’s only if his owner unable to shoo the dog away or call the owner that he will growl. He’s never bitten a dog and he doesn’t growl unprovoked. His owners Sister has a large rescue (husky/Alsatian looking) and a small chihuahua and they come over relatively regularly. Again Freddy tends to just ignore them. He does resource guard though so his owners have to tidy away his toys and take his food and water away (never for long) whilst they are here. Strangely he seems to know if the dog is another doodle x and he will be a bit more interested in playing with a doodle x for a few minutes.

Resource guarding is a bit of an issue. It’s fine with his owners because they know him and will always exchange whatever he’s got with food for example if they need to get something off him. He does snarl if you go to take something off him, again he hasn’t bitten anyone but I couldn’t say for sure that he WOULDN’T if someone just tried to take something off him. His owners are particularly conscious of him around children. He is quite happy to be approached and petted by children big and small but they always make sure they are there to supervise.

He enjoys playing catch with a friend’s 4yr old, a wanger is used so the child is never reaching for the ball with her hand.

Resource guarding can be managed as long as you see the signs and read a dogs body language

We as a charity do not advise giving long lasting treats to any dog that shows resource guarding issues.

He really does bark when people come to the door.(this is normal behaviour of a dog)Once he understands the person isn’t a “danger” he will be very friendly…grab a toy to bring over, does a tappy tappy thing with his feet. Really wanting attention. He does jump up and can get quite over excited at these times. It can take a little while to get him to settle when new people come into the house. He never humps or does “excitement wees”.

He is great on a walk, virtually 100% recall with his owners (slightly less with other people unless he knows they have treats). His owner always calls him back and holds him if he see horses etc but he doesn’t react to them even if they gallop past. He always likes to keep you in eyeline so even if he’s off the lead he will run up ahead but then wait for you to catch up. He pulls on the lead, currently uses a halti with him. He doesn’t like it and spends the first minute or two trying to get it off but adjusts to it quickly. He’s good at walking into town, not reactive to passers by, traffic, dogs etc. He enjoys going to the pub and will be quite happy there for an hour or so without issue. Any more the owner takes one of his snuggly teddies for him so he settles.

We as a charity would recommend some loose lead training.

He absolutely loves carrots, he enjoys chomping on a whole carrot or having little bits given to him as treats. He’s also quite fond of broccoli stalks. He begs and it looks like he’s fed off peoples plates the way he will sit by you when he eats, he absolutely isn’t he’s just food obsessed. His owner does not bother buying dog treats because he’s so happy with carrots, broccoli, bits of fish skin and the odd bit of meat scraps he goes mad for.

He has high energy and he’s definitely enthusiastic but he does also love to sleep. For example if his owner is working on the computer at home ,he will just be sleeping on the sofa but the minute they get up he is immediately ready and assuming something really exciting is going to happen.

Freddy sees a professional groomer every 8 weeks and he is kept short. He doesn’t like his feet being brushed or cleaned.

He only sheds minimally all dogs shed some amount of hair.

He isn’t too bad at being left on his own, he will generally bark as they leave,the neighbours say that unless someone comes to the door he settles quite quickly.

We as a charity state a dog should not be left any longer than 3 to 4 hours per day

He has never destroyed anything whilst his owners been out and will eat his food etc (they have been told that’s a good sign because if he was distressed he wouldn’t eat)

Freddy is toilet trained,but we do say with any new dog entering a new home an accident may occur

He likes to sleep on the end of his owners bed at night or on their sofa

Freddy is not crated or crate trained

He is not a huge fan of car travel,he will get in and pant never been sick in the car

Dislikes :- He hates the ironing board being put up. Can be a bit jumpy if things move unexpectedly...a broom that was leaning against the wall falling down etc.

Will bark at the Post Person.

Swimming and water :-His owners took him to a dog swimming pool a few times ,and he was happy to stay in whilst they were trowing a ball to him but once they stopped throwing the ball he just wanted to get out.

Freddy is ball mad, so much so that his owners keep them hidden because he will obsessively drop it at your feet/in your lap. They also rarely take a ball on a walk because he will "resource guard" it around other dogs .

Doodle Aids advice would be to wean him off any balls and ball games.

Freddy would love a home with active people to spend his days and nights with.

With persons willing to continue with a bit of training and perhaps to take him to agility in the future

It will be a great bonding experience for all involved.

Bobby is looking for a new home due to his owners personal circumstances.

Work circumstances have changed ,they feel Bobby needs a home with people that can give Bobby more time that they can offer him.

Bobby originally lived across the pond in New York and came over to the UK in 2021 with his family.

We are looking for a home where his new owners can carry on with some training.

Bobby can be reactive to “some” dog’s whilst he is on his lead,this will involve him barking and letting the other dog know he is here. He has never been aggressive around other dogs. This is something that has only started quite recently, could be to do with the change of dynamics within his home.

Two young children one a toddler the other being a baby,could be a protective issue.

He fabulous 98% of the time ,it’s just with certain dogs.

Bobby goes on regularly walks with a profession dog walker, who takes other dogs along on the walks with him. Whilst Bobby is off his lead he is pretty good with meeting and greeting other dogs . Bobbys recall is good but sometimes get distracted, by wildlife or if he sees another dog on a lead. Sporadically other dogs stay at his home with visitors and the family have looked after friends dogs and there has been no issues.

Bobby can be rehomed with another dog ,this would involve several meet and greets . We do this to make sure all parties are happy, especially the dogs.

Can be rehomed with older dog savvy children over 11 years old. This age restriction is because sometime Bobby can get jealous if the attention is not on him.

If the adults in the family are playing with their children, Bobby gets jealous and this may manifests as trying to mount one of adults legs.

Bobby cannot live with a cat,he may chase them.

Must be willing to continue with Bobby’s training.

No showboating Bobby in the first week,he needs time to settle in his new home with his new people.

Never let a new rescue dog off their leads until you have complete trust in one another,takes seconds for a dog to run away and not come back.

You must have a safe and secure garden with no gaps in fences,and a lock on any gates. Requires a home close to great walks and being able to go outside as he has become accustomed to this and would not suit City living.

Had a few ear issues in the past ,maybe seasonal allergy related but not occurred since and not formally diagnosed.

Grooming Requirements

Bobby has a wavy coat,only sheds minimally as all dogs shed some amount.

He is happy to be brushed and combed at home and has his paws washed on a daily basis. He is taken to a professional groomers every 6-8wks . Is washed weekly and is brushed periodically as we keep his coat relatively short. When his fur is longer he requires more regular brushing to avoid matting.

Exercise

Bobby 1-2 walks per day. 1 is a minimum of one hour,but frequently longer with the second a shorter walk, generally 30mins.

He does go off his lead,but we advise not doing this ,until he has complete trust with you in a safe and secure area. Bobby does not pull on his lead. He loves to run and explore on walks though always remains close by his owners. He used to love running around with other dogs as a puppy ,but in the last 2 years he is much more placid in that regard but is happily be in other dogs company.

Bobbys general obedience is generally good, and this can be improved with consistent training,as with any dog it’s always good to continue. His owners have worked on training Bobby and he has improved massively.

General Information

Bobby is a very easy going dog as a general rule. Bobby is very warm and loving, he absolutely adores being stroked/having people's full attention. When meeting new people he gets very excited and tries to greet them (he can jump owners are training him not to/this has reduced). Normally after the initial meeting he will calm down and chill out. He loves to lounge around, on anything comfortable or in the sunshine. Everyone who spends time with him always comments how easy he is to look after.

Bobby has never shown aggression to any person, including children.

He has frequently been taken to cafes/pubs and is always well behaved and sits under the table/chairs with no issues.

Despite being a lockdown puppy Bobby has been very well socialised, this is due to having a great family whom made sure he was exposed to many daily things in life.

Bobby is toilet trained,but any dogs can have accidents especially upon being in a new environment.

He is encouraged to sleep in his bed at night, however he will vary where he sleeps so when he doesn't chose his bed he will sleep on a sofa downstairs, under or on the bed of his owners or on the bed in the spare bedroom.

Bobby is generally fine being left alone. He will realise once his owners are leaving the house he will go to the door and sit on the mat and want to go with them. Once it’s clear they he is being left he will go and find somewhere to relax.

NOTE WE WILL NOT REHOME TO ANYONE THAT LEAVES A DOG ANY LONGER THAN 3 HOURS PER DAY.

Dogs are social animals and require human contact and stability.

Bobby has never been destructive in his home

Never been crated and we do not advise crating him

He is great in the car either in the boot of the car or on the seat/floor. He travels in a harness and has a seatbelt.

Bobby will rarely swim in the water but he can swim. He will happily paddle in water and does sometimes surprises his owners and runs in!

Bobby has know dislikes known by his owners

He is selective about playing with toys. He enjoys playing with squeaky tennis balls and balls/squeaky toys in the garden

Whilst in Foster care Doodle Aid will arrange for Professional Grooms,as long as the Fosters are happy to take Mango to the appointments.

Mango has a beautiful curly coat,sheds minimally as all dogs shed some amount.

She likes to be brushed and her owners carry this out daily to prevent matting.

Mango attends a Proffesional Groomers every 6 weeks,she is very well groomed and looked after by her owners.

Exercise

Mango is walked one hour every day away ,from busy streets/roads etc quiet areas.

Her owners live nearby to the beach,Mango loves the beach and she let off lead here,as it’s safe for her no traffic or street noise.

We do not allow our Fosters to let any foster dogs off lead unless they can hire dog a paddock occasionally (Doodle Aid is happy to pay the costs ,can be discussed with fosters further)

Mango’s recall is hit and miss,she also will pull on her lead occasionally .

This is something that can be managed with training going forward.

Whilst out Mango interacts with dogs well ,likes to meet and greet most of the time.

General Information

Mango is a kind,sweet natured girl,adores her family,she is playful and very enthusiastic and active.

Never shown any aggressive behaviour and never bitten.

With strange children, she does not appreciate being grabbed and annoyed.

Mango does live with teenagers and they are very good around her ,and she is respectful to them.

Her general obedience is good and she is well socialised,we are informed.

Mango is toilet trained,but we say to everyone accidents may occur ,as with any dog coming into a strange environment.

At night Mango sleeps in her bed downstairs,she has been trained not to go upstairs.

No confirmed allergies but owner stopped giving him chicken based food/ treats because he was licking his tummy a lot and that stopped since.

Grooming Requirements

Reggie has a curly coat,sheds minimally as all dogs shed some amount.

He is not overly keen on the grooming experience with his owner brushing him.

This would need to be addressed with some tasty treats at hand,and slowly reward whilst brushing.

He attends a Professional Groomers roughly every 6/8 weeks and is kept short.

Exercise

Reggie is walked twice daily on his lead for 45/60 minutes.

Is recall is good with his owner most of the time.

We do not recommend any off lead walks ,until you get to know any rescue dog 100%

Reggie can pull on his lead especially if he sees another dog,as he wants to get near and play.

Whilst out a few dogs have been reactive to Reggie and he has been reactive back.

Some dogs do not like entire males so this could be one cause.

Plus not all dogs like certain dogs,like us humans do not like some other humans.

Reggie has never bitten anyone be it human or another dog.

He loves to say hello to other dogs (on or off lead) and will play if they will play with him. His owner has been stopping him from saying hello to try to teach him not to pull.

Reggie definitely could do with some loose lead training and even some one to one training with a qualified dog trainer.

General Information

Reggie is a super doodle full or life and fun,he is quick to learn and just needs people willing to give him want he needs.

Reggie is generally very lively and bouncy, he love’s attention and to be cuddled and stroked. When at home after his walks he is very calm and will lie down and snooze.

Loves to have his toys and balls and fetch with him. When other people arrive at his home he will be much more excited. Reggie would love to sit on their sofa with but they don’t allow him too.

So if you have a Reggie dent in your sofa he would like to fill it.

Reggie will bark when people arrive at the door ,and when they come in,he will soon settle when they settle.

When Reggie was younger he did attend training classes but a typical goofy Doidle he disrupted the class,and his owner felt embarrassed to go back.

He has been better learning from his owner directly,she has been doing some home training with Reggie.

Reggie is toilet trained,but we do say always expect the unexpected accident May occur with a new dog entering a strange and new environment.

Reggie has the run of his home he can sleep where he feels comfortable.

He can be left at home for a maximum of three hours only,his owners have not left him any longer as it’s not fair on him.

If home alone and the post is popped through the door,he will rip it up.

Suggest a mail box outside ,or a cage attached to the inside of your letter box

Was crate trained as a puppy,when he reached six months he no longer required a crate

Travels well in the car the furthest he has been is about 2 hours once. He gets noisy when he realises where he is going if it’s for an off lead walk.

Dislikes loud noises near him can sometimes make him jump. He’s fine with fireworks if he’s in or out of the house unless they’re very close or noisy.

Reggie likes the water will just jump straight in.

Reggie love’s squeaky toys. He likes to chase and bring back but likes you to tug with him to get it back. Once relinquished he loves to chase it again. When outside he will chase birds. He loves to do this on the prom or beach.Best not to encourage bird chasing,reward to bring him back.

Benji is located in Derbyshire ,we will expect the fosters to carry our several visits if they own a dog.

This gorgeous young boy is looking for a Foster home with a view to adopt,his owner adores him tremendously ,but are not managing his everyday needs.

Benji’s owner has personal issues in her life ,and feels Benji is not getting all he requires.

He needs regular walks,some stimulation,lots of rest in between and the most important aspect socialising and training.

He is very quick to learn and would thrive in an active home ,with people whom are willing to support him,with Doodle Aid on hand as support.

Benji has never been left for any long periods of time,and when left he will bark and scratch doors.This is something that will need addressing ,with time love and patience.

We all have to remember Benji is still only a puppy,still a bit mouthy,and tends to jump up when excited.

We are looking for a Foster home with Fosters willing to put in the time to train him,to take him to appointments,vets ,groomers etc.

Persons who are at home ,and can walk him regularly on his lead,give him stimulation and help with his separation anxiety.

Would suit active household,that enjoy the great outdoors as Benji is a little pocket rocket full of energy and beans.

Exercise

Benji is not getting the exercise required this is where his owner is struggling.

We like the Fosters to take him out for more walks throughout the day.

None of our Foster dogs should be allowed off lead for safety reasons.

Benji is learning his recall and at this stage,his owners state he is good.

We are happy for Fosters to hire a paddock to work on recall and training ,this must be cleared with us firstly if you like us to pay.

Can be wary around larger dogs whilst out,if they bark at him he gets nervous,this is more than likely due to not being out and about much.

Benji is your typical fun loving,attention seeking,happy bouncy doodle,full of energy and wants your full attention all the time.

As stated he gets very excited and will jump up,and may puppy mouth.

He is non aggressive just does not know his boundaries ,and still exploring with his mouth not with intent.

He can be a bit of a monkey with guarding his own food ,and we will state no long lasting treats as he may guard them too.

These are all simple things to manage going forward,you would just need to be prepared to help him manage these situations ,and be sensible with food around him.

Benji lives with an older dog ,but the older dog cannot cope with the constant annoying puppy behaviour.

The older dog will just go off and will not give him any warning signs to say that’s enough.

He would better with a dog that’s has experienced living with an energetic puppy,so please take this into consideration.

Or he can live as an only dog

Benji is toilet trained and will bark when he needs to go out.

Like with any rescue dog we also state there might be no accidents or a few ,every dog is different entering a strange environment.

When a very young puppy he did chew a few items,as getting older he has not done this since.Not saying he will not chew things as you never know with any dogs.

Benji travels well in the car ,we like him in a safe harness strapped in the seatbelt.

He has never been in contact with water,so unknown if he likes swimming

Favourite games are playing fetch with his ball.

We would like to rehome Baxter only an hour or so away,as he does not take to long distance car travel well.

Baxter’s owners are heartbroken they are having to rehome Baxter.

Sadly the dynamics within their family are very hard,as caring for a sick relative,has become too much for them all.

We are looking for a home a very special home for two young Australian Labradoodles.

Cassie and Teddy are litter siblings they are two years old.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Cassie was diagnosed with Addisons Disease in January 2023 which can be managed and controlled with the correct medication. Other charities have spoken about euthanasia which should never happen to a young dog, with a condition that can be easily managed and therefore we are looking to help rehome these two together. Where there’s a will there’s always a way.

Teddy is fully fit, a happy healthy boy. In February 2023 he managed to obtain Parvovirus,he was a sick boy,but because his immune system was strong he managed to fight it off with the support of the vet and was very lucky indeed to pull through.

WE WILL ONLY REHOME TOGETHER ,WE WILL NOT SEPARATE THEM

You will need to be fully committed in giving them both the best life they so deserve,and continue Cassie’s medical treatment for her lifespan.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Cassie was diagnosed with Addisons Disease January 2023, she receives monthly injection of Zycortal, along side 2.5mg of prednisone steroid in tablet form daily. Because this is a pre existing condition her new owners will NOT be able to insure for this condition. As a responsible charity we will discuss a few options going forward with her new owners.

The costing for the injections is around £100 per month,maybe cheaper if you obtain a prescription via the vet and purchase online.

The Pred (steroids) are much cheaper pennies compared to the injection.

Cassie will also need her bloods checking to make sure she is balanced.

This could be anything from 3 months, 6 monthly or as and when required if you notice any changes. Cassie blood balance was last check in November 2023 and is stable and doing great. As with all vets in the UK treatment prices and drug prices can vary,it’s always best to shop around,even when purchasing drugs online.

Please please do not let any of the above conditions put you off rehoming these two wonderful,sweet natured dogs. We cannot turn our back on them both,we need your help folks.

Flynn is based in Ayr in Scotland a family adopted a very short time ago.

After a few days they were not happy with the dog ,even though we as a charity ,were transparent about everything as was his previous owners.

A few days later they want to keep the dog,next message the dog has to go.

This has been continually going back and forth with us even though we are doing our upmost to find a foster home.

Now we have just been informed ,one of the families members is NOT a doggy person,despite them having a dog previously.

This was not reflected when we vetted the family.

We have had several applications with multiple dogs,child who are too young,or people going on holiday imminently.

This just would not suit Flynn and his needs.

He is a large lolloping goofball going through adolescence which will pass as this is normal puppy behaviour.

He just need guidance ,support and love.

He pulls on his lead ,will just jump to pull and teeth his lead.

Simple answer use a chain link lead until he learns,this is not the done thing.

The new owners were aware of this,and he has accidentally caught the owner,whilst on his walk.

Also in the home he has not been manage well around food ,this has resulted

in him pinching food and worrying their Son,whilst eating and getting food.

All this is not the puppies fault,they were informed he was a foodie.

He is just a confused poor puppy that has not known what or where to go,it’s a sad situation.

He just need an urgent foster who will support,love ,train and give him the stability that he is missing.

Doodle Aid will do everything to support the fosters,we just need to get him moved ASAP .

Dogs bark for a reason it’s because they are wanting something or alerted by something,or just trying to work out why they are in a strange place with strange people.

As stated in a previous post we humans talk and other humans understand us,sadly dogs cannot talk.So you have to work out why a dog is barking ,by figuring out why it’s barking,it’s like a missing piece in a jigsaw puzzle.

This boy is food mad counter surfs and carrying plates around near him,eating near him only encourages his behaviour.Best to teach him how to manage the food issues,and for humans to be more understanding and help him with these issues.Dogs love food it’s only natural they will grab things if left around,so we as humans need to be on top of situation before they happen.

Easily resolved just don’t leave things out,and pop things well away from him.

Eat in another room,or at a high table asking him to sit and be positive about his training.

Counter tops cleared and keep food away from him,no bins left around,until the training is starting to become clear to him,work with him and he will get there but it’s not an instant fix with any dog ,time and patience is the key.

It’s not only about his training we as humans need to retrain ourselves with dogs,sadly dogs are not robots.

Rescue dogs are in rescue for a reason ,they need more support.

He has also got hold of a sock in this last week,be good if socks are perhaps put away in draws or washing baskets.

He is a puller on a lead ,needs loose lead training,it’s not an art it’s practice with nice treat.

No showboating any dog that’s been recently adopted or in foster.

They need security and love by his new people firstly,before any of this occurs.

It’s so sad he has to be moved again through not fault of his own ,he must be very confused and let down by everyone including Doodle Aid.

We have been so transparent not sure what else we could have done.

He is now based in Scotland and will need his new fosters to collect him.

We do give a fuel allowance and 24/7 support as much as we can.

All food,vet bills,groomers,trainers will be paid by Doodle Aid and we will discuss fostering further with the potential fosters.

Another move will not improve his quirks it will set him back.

Deeks did attend puppy training classes and was very good in his class.

Brodie can be stubborn at times ,gets tunnel vision if he sees something interesting or something he wants.

He struggles with containing his excitement,can be humpy around other dogs (after being neutered hopefully this will resolve) and Brodie will learn no humpy

Has never shown an aggressive behaviour and has never bitten,can still puppy mouth and push ,this is all for attention.

He has a loud bark,due to his size, as he barks his tail is wagging.

Brodie is toilet trained,but as with any new rescue entering a new and strange environment please expect the unexpected.

Bear is looking for a quiet home where he can get the attention he so desires,with some training in place.

At present he is living in a lovely home , his owner is finding it increasingly difficult with going back to work and leaving Bear.

Bear suffers with separation anxiety and cannot cope being on his own for any given time.

The longest he has been left is 10/15 minutes whilst his owners reviewed him on their security camera.

He barks,howls and paces if left alone,and gets himself very distressed.

His owners feels Bear needs a home ,where a person or persons has the time to be with him and help him overcome his fear of being left alone.

This will not be an instant fix ,but it can be managed slowly in the right home.

Bear is an energetic boy ,his new owners would need to be fit and active.

We are seeking a “QUIET HOME “where a person/persons are at home all day,to focus on Bear,to settle him in with lots of time,reassurance to help him overcome his separation anxiety.(Note this is not an instant fix)

Doodle Aid requires a home with children ages“10 AND OVER “ ,good with children but tends to prefer older children.He lives with a small child in his home ,who sometimes does not understand Bear does not like to be over handled.Bear tolerates the toddler in his home.

TO BE THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME ( Bear is good with other dogs out and about on his walks,but in the home it would be too much for him)can be a bit taken back by larger dogs whilst out.

His recall needs so working on,he would benefit with some one to one training with his new owners.

Bear does not pull on his lead ,will walk nicely until he sees another dog and would like to say hi to them.

Storm is located in Kent Postcode area ME4,the potential adoptee will be required to make several meet and greets.

We here at Doodle Aid believe it’s unfair to just take a dog ,without getting to know them,be it even for a short time.

Storm has been in a wonderful foster home since August,and has been very much loved and has been part of their family.

Exercise

Storm has two good walks a day,is kept on a short lead whilst pavement walking.

If you ask Storm to sit at the kerb to wait she will follow this command.

Her recall is good but can be improved,this is where some training might help.

Can pull slightly on her lead,loose lead training would be an advantage.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION please do not let Storm off her lead until you have 101% trust with each other.

This little girl is looking for a new home due to not adapting well ,with two very young twins in her home.

It’s been a very difficult situation trying to juggle both Maggie and the twins.

Sadly Maggie is fearful of them both ,has shown signs of unpredictability,but never bitten a child or human.When the toddlers approach the baby gates when Maggie is on the other side,she will growl and lung to try get to them.

Maggie was bought into the owners lives as a puppy ,and sadly has never experienced sharing her home with babies,toddlers or children.It’s been a complete shock to her system no doubt.

The twins have now started walking ,so for their safety Maggie is kept in the kitchen.The owners know this is not good for her well-being ,and came to us to find her a loving child free home.

She lives with a male rescue terrier cross ,whom she dislikes and there have been a number of incidents with the pair of them.

Outside of Maggie’s home she shows no malice towards other dogs,may bark at few but that’s quite normal behaviour not every dog likes every other dog.Maggie has attended doggy day care and has mixed in well.

We need to find a foster before a certain date ,so this is our priority at present it’s urgent.

Duke is looking for a foster placement with a view to adopt in the future.

We will consider rehoming with “ONE”other dog,your dog must be of a good solid temperament,calm in nature,with no behaviour issues.

Can live with children we are recommending ages 10 upwards ,as Duke still get excited and may jump up and accidentally knock a small child over.

As a charity we do not allow foster dogs to attend doggy day care,this is in-line with our insurance cover.
