The potential owner would be requested to do several visits,before the adoption process takes place.

Deeks is one gorgeous boy and his owner has found this decision to rehome him very hard to make ,due to the love they have for one another.

There has been much sadness in his owners life ,loosing many loved ones recently ,and now facing time alone with dealing with their own medical issues.

It would be near impossible to look after Deeks ,so putting his priorities first his owner wants the best home for her boy.

This handsome fella is a bit older,but with age dogs are wiser.

No going through the puppy period,all they want is to be loved and well cared for.

Please please do not pass him by older dogs deserve so much more.

I myself rescued a 9 year old ,and he gave some much back in love,and he lived until he was 17.

Whoever gives Deeks a new home you will never regret what you have done, to give this gentleman a great life going forward, with a happy future.

Deeks can live with ONE other dog

Can live with children aged 8 and over ( please note children need to be respectful around Deeks at all times ,as they should be with any dogs)

Deeks cannot live with cats

We require a secure garden not communal

Grooming Requirements

Soft wavy coat,which only shed minimally all dogs shed some amount.

Dislikes being brushed at home.

Attends a professional groomers every 8 weeks,shakes before entering the salon,once settled in there he is much more relaxed.

This is something that can be worked on slowly,find a good groomer and seek support work as a team.

Exercise

Deeks is exercised by relatives at present, as his owner is struggling with health issues,she does do her best to walk him and does play ball with him.

He does go off his lead (Note to new owners, Doodle Aid does not recommend letting any rescue dog off lead,until you have 100% trust with each other)

He does pull on his lead sometimes ,only because he wants to go off lead to explore and play.

He’s not really bothered about other dogs he’ll mingle with them and will run and play with some dogs but generally he just does his own thing,whilst on his walks.

General Information

Deeks is truly a wonderful dog,he is pretty chilled out,loves human company the attention and all the fuss.

Has never shown any aggressive traits and never bitten.

He’s a really good well behaved dog who comes/ sits when asked. He usually waits to be told’ breakfast’ or ‘tea ‘ time when his food is put out then he meanders over to eat. He’s a grazer does always clear his bowl. He is not a greedy dog. Waits outside the back door until he’s invited in ‘ come on in Deeks’ then in he comes

Deeks did attend puppy training classes and was very good in his class.

He is toilet trained ,but with any new dog entering a strange environment they may have an accident until settled.

He sleeps with his blanket in the living room,or top of stairs,or in the hall he has a choice where he likes best to snooze.

Not crate trained

Deeks has never been destructive in his home or anywhere

Travels well in the car,his owners used to take him on holiday a lot in their touring caravan

Dislikes is worried about shiny floors.He was once in an outdoor footwear shop upstairs ,the floor was shiny and wood and Deeks was shaking with fear.

He doesn’t swim. He will retrieve his ball from the waters edge at the beach say up to his first leg joint but no further.

Favourite things ,He loves a tug toy.Loves a ball and a throw, owners have always used a ball because it’s all about the chase for Deeks. He doesn’t bring the ball right back to your feet he drops it on a call.

Deeks is a lovely dog with a good friendly personality. He goes with the flow loves to be at the beach or running free through woodlands chasing leaves ,but watch for the squirrels. He is well mannered , he doesn’t go on the furniture or beds

All potential applications will be subjected to a full homecheck.

If you live in rented accommodation ,we will require written proof that a dog can live in this home
