Rob

I’m Rob, just the right side of 60 and had dogs for as long as I remember.

Border Collies were always around when I was younger but Doodles came into our life around 10 years ago and we now have four Doodles, an Old English Sheepdog and two Poodles.

We founded DoodleAid with the sole purpose of making rehoming more personal and the team treat each dog as we would treat our own. We rely on your patronage so thank you; all of you.

Dogs are my passion in life, and love their companionship.

My love of dogs started as a little girl with a Corgi, then followed by mixed breeds, then went on in later years to rescue many Border Collies.

When our Border Collies past away we got our first Doodle called Freya , and we caught the Doodle Bug, this was almost 14 years ago now.

Freya was followed by Elmo, who was our inspiration for starting Doodle Aid and we always call him the Co Founder.

At present I am owned by four more Doodles, a Standard Poodle, Toy Poodle and an Old English Sheepdog.

We would now never be without a Doodle as they are the most fantastic dogs.

In memory of Elmo Bear 2007 to 2019.

I have always had dogs in my life, Labradors, Cross Breeds and Mongrels. My life has always been a busy one, but we have always had a love of dogs. Once the Children had flew the nest. We moved location and I wanted another dog in my life. In 2018, I saw an advert on Doodleaid for a 15mth old cockapoo up for adoption. We applied and was successful.

A few weeks after we adopted Ella, I received a phone call asking if I would like to help on the rehoming side of the charity. I immediately said yes and that's it I was smitten. Unfortunately in 2023 my Mum was taken poorly and  I also suffered a serious health issue, so unfortunately I had to take a break from DoodleAid.

But now I am back in action helping to rehome doodles.

I got my first Doodle nearly 8 years ago and adopted my DoodleAid boy over 6 years ago.

I have been addicted to them ever since.

My dogs are my life and I will try and help others that need it.

Julie

I can’t imagine life without a dog.

I’ve been blessed with sharing mine with Poodles and Airedale Terriers since a child.

More recently Golden Doodles and DoodleAids honorary Standard Poodle rescue, the one and only Florin, who came to live with us.
It has been hugely satisfying and a privilege to help with the Rehoming of Poodle crosses, for the charity.
