Storm : Now adopted

Please do read this advert very carefully before applying for Storm.

Storm is located in Kent Postcode area ME4,the potential adoptee will be required to make several meet and greets.

We here at Doodle Aid believe it’s unfair to just take a dog ,without getting to know them,be it even for a short time.

The match has to be perfect for all parties involved, this is why we put several meet and greets in place.

Storm has been in a wonderful foster home since August, and has been very much loved and has been part of their family.

Whilst in her foster home Storm was spayed, under contract with us,and all went without any issues ,she has made a remarkable recovery.

No other known health issues ,at the time being vet checked in foster care.

Has attended a professional groomers ,whilst under Doodle Aids contract.

She does suffer with separation anxiety, this is something her new owners would need to help her overcome slowly, with time, care and patience.(Note this is not an instant fix )

Storm is a truly wonderful girl ,whoever will be her new forever owners will be totally delighted with her.

One person will need to be at home with Storm, this is because as stated above she has separation anxiety.

Our preference is Storm is an only dog ,but we may consider rehoming Storm with one similar sized dog,a calm older male (who is neutered).

We will rehome Storm with children ages 8 and above (note Storm is a large girl ,parents will need to be responsible with their children around Storm ,as with any dogs)

No cats as will chase

Storm would love her own garden, not communal please

If your planning a holiday please state on your application form

Grooming Requirements

Storm has a wavy coat ,only sheds slightly all dogs shed some amount.

Her new owners will need to brush and comb Storm through every few days,as doodle coats are prone to matting if not looked after.

Storm has attended a Professional Groomers, and was a joy to be groomed.

Exercise

Storm has two good walks a day,is kept on a short lead whilst pavement walking.

If you ask Storm to sit at the kerb to wait she will follow this command.

Her recall is good but can be improved, this is where some training might help.

Can pull slightly on her lead, loose lead training would be an advantage.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION please do not let Storm off her lead until you have 101% trust with each other.

This can take a number of weeks or months,we cannot stress this enough as with all our rescue dogs.

We have seen recently in the media vast amount of dog attacks, and we would hate anything to happen to any of our rescue dogs ,if their recall is not up to scratch.

It’s one of the most important aspects of dog ownership, that a dog will come back when called to their owner.

Storm gets vocal when seeing other dogs through sheer excitement ,but once she has done her meet and greets she is well behaved.

General Information

Storm is a super girl, likes to play, can get excited as still a young dog,may jump up,very friendly, loves attention, good with children and adults.

Shown no sign of any aggressive behaviour and has never bitten.

She sleeps downstairs at night (first few nights if your not planning on taking her in your bedroom, you may need to sleep on the sofa to settle her in)

She knows some commands such as sit,lie down, paw & on your bed.

Storm has been crate trained.

Non destructive in her home

Is toilet trained, but as with any rescue dog coming into a strange environment, we always say expect the unexpected.
