INTRODUCING ROCKY

Please do read all the following information fully before applying,if you do not meet his criteria do not apply.

Rocky is based in Leicesterthe potential applicant ,would need to be prepared to travel ,to do as many meets and greets as necessary.

Rocky is dearly loved by his current owners,and they have really found it heartbreaking to come to this decision to rehome him.

Sadly they cannot give him the exercise he so requires ,and it’s not fair on Rocky.

They are putting Rocky’s needs before their own ,and have trusted Doodle Aid to find him the best forever home.

We are looking for a home with fit and active persons ,as Rocky is a large energetic young boy.

Rocky needs to be the only dog in the household

Can live with children age 10 and over

No cats

No full time workers please

Rocky will require a home with a medium to large garden

Garden need to be safe and secure,fences at least 6 foot.

If you have back gates they will need to have a secure lock on them

If you have any holidays pre planned please state on your application form

Booster vaccinations due July 2025

Up to date with flea/tick/worming treatment

Has had a wax build up in his ears.We advise to clean ears at least once a week

No known allergies

Grooming Requirements

Rocky has a straight to wavy coat

He does shed so do consider this if you have any allergies

Whilst brushing at home he likes to be rewarded with treats.

Attends a professional groomers every 8 to 10 weeks

Exercise

Rocky gets about 1/2 an hour daily ,his owners are struggling to walk him as they have personal issues.

Once he is rehomed his exercise will need to be built up daily ,as he loves his walks.

His recall is good,but remember he needs 100% trust with his new owners before allowing him off lead.

We are told he does not pull on his lead.

Interacts with most dogs well ,whilst out on his walks.

General information

Rocky can be bouncy round new people entering home ,but quickly calms. Loves cuddles and attention,he is a well mannered doodle.

Never shown any aggression and has never bitten

Rocky has been well socialised from puppyhood onwards.

Rocky is on a raw food diet,has two meals per day.

He is toilet trained,any dog can soil when entering a new and strange environment so please be prepared for an incidents.

Rocky sleeps in the owners lounge at night

Never been destructive in the home

Can be left 3 hours a day

He is not crate trained

Travels well in the car ,we advise in a safety harness or seatbelt strap

Has been in the water occasionally but often

Owners state they have not noticed anything he is scared of or dislikes

His very favourite item is his ball

Rocky is a great doodle ,loves attention,but also likes his time to chill.

He will make someone a very loyal companion.

If you live in rented accommodation ,we require documentation that a dog can live within your property.

All potential applicants will be subjected to a vetting and full home check

The adoption fee for Rocky is £280.00 this goes back into the charity
