Attends a professional groomers quarterly and is a good girl
Exercise
Sailor has 3 x 30 minute walks daily and playtime in the garden.
She does not go off her lead, unless in a secure place.
We do not advise new owners allowing any rescue dogs off lead ,until you have complete trust in one another, and recall is 100%.
Loose lead training is something Sailor would benefit from ,with her new owners support.
Sailor generally interacts with other dogs okay.
General information
Sailor is loving, cuddly, enjoys tickles, jumps up at people when they first come in the house but then calms down once she's said hello.
We are told she has never been aggressive or bitten.
Her general obedience is mixed ,she will sit when asked (before food etc), offer paw when requested.
Sailor will bark when people ring the door ,like too post people and visitors.
This is quite normal behaviour for any dog,if you so wish you can do some training on this if you desire.
Sailor is toilet trained, but we always state with any rescue dog coming into a new environment expect the unexpected.
She sleeps in a cage downstairs (voluntarily). Likes to sleep under owners bed or children’s bed until they go to sleep ,and then she goes downstairs.
Sailor can be left for short periods of time ,we don’t like any dogs being left longer than 2 to 3 hours per day.
Never been destructive in her home
Sailor sits in the boot of the car, whilst travelling.
Owners stated they have not noticed anything she is scared of or dislikes.
