Dear little bouncy ever so cheeky Bertie ,is looking for a foster home ,due to unforeseen circumstances within his family.

His lovely lady owner ,is finding Bertie a bit of a challenging puppy ,he craves her attention and if he doesn’t get what he what’s he will act up.

By pulling at her legs ,or puppy grabbing until he gets his way.

There’s a lot going on with relatives within the family ,and Bertie just isn’t getting the attention he so requires,it’s nobodies fault it can be the way of the world sometimes.

Doodles are unique and if you have never owned one sometimes it can be very overwhelming.

Bertie bless him,has got up to a bit of mischief making ,chewed the car seat belt ,some furniture when he was left unattended during hospital visits.

This is all due to not getting enough stimulation ,with walks and training.

We have to realise Bertie is still only a puppy ,still wants to explore ,and needs to explore to gain his confidence ,to become a well rounded adult dog.

He certainly would love to have more training as he is quick to learn ,and is very intelligent. At the moment he is a giddy mess,a live wire of a goof ball, who needs someone with time to help him adjust and learn to be well mannered and take things steady.

As we say Rome was not built in a day ! some basic training will certainly make Bertie a better boy.

Needs an active/experienced home with people willing to put in some training

Bertie likes other dogs he does spend some time with a relatives older Labrador.

He might try it on and want to play, but we believe another dog will help him improve going forward.

Can live with ONE other dog

No cats

Children over the age of 12 ONLY,this is because the goofy fella may knock little ones over accidentally.

Your garden needs to be safe and secure, with either fences and walls at least 5 foot .

Gates must have a lock on them.

If you have a day trips or holidays planned please state on your application form.

No full time workers please,Bertie needs someone at home most of the day ,he likes human company

Because Bertie will be in a foster home Doodle Aid will supply his food, pay his vet bills when required,we will find an experienced groomer willing to groom him.

Once settled if the foster requires support from a Dog Trainer ,we are always happy to provide this as this will benefit Bertie in the long run.

Anything else Bertie requires this can be discussed weekly with the rehoming team.

Occasionally Bertie will pull on his lead, this is mainly when he gets over excited and sees another dog.

He is walked on a harness and lead.

He interacts with other dogs well, likes to play in a safe area.

General Information

Bertie as we state can be a handful at times, this is due to lack of socialising, becoming bored and needing more than his owner can give due to ill health.

He is a very energetic lad, lively, may jump up,likes to have your full attention,he is loving ,likes a cuddle on his terms.

His owner is his world, and he has puppy mouthed her several times and this his owner is not dealing with at all well,it can hurt at times.

Bertie explores with his mouth ,like some puppies do this is how they learn, but this now needs to be dealt with in the correct manner,he has been allowed to get away with too much. Dealing with a very lively under stimulated puppy can be hard work, especially if you are on your own.We feel for his owner too many things to cope with can be very difficult for anyone.

We would not class Bertie as aggressive ,but he has growled and grabbed with his mouth.

This is because he is not getting the things he needs to help him progress.

Once things are more in place we are sure Bertie will blossom into a very mature well mannered adult dog.

Bertie is toilet trained, but we always state expect the unexpected with any dogs entering a new and strange environment

He sleeps in the kitchen in a dog play pen

Bertie will chew things if he does not get the attention he so wants,or if he becomes bored.

With car travel he sits with a car seatbelt harness on ,will whine on the odd occasion.

Most recently he chewed the car seat belt ( note might be better in a car crate)

Dislikes likes the Hoover

Never swam as owners do not live near any water

Loves his toys ,especially his ball,a rubber stick and toys that can be stuffed with treats

Firstly we like to point out his owner adores Bertie ,but knows he needs more than she can possibly give him.

She wants him to have a wonderful future and asked for us to help find him the perfect home.

Bertie is still only a puppy he has his whole life ahead of him, just needs some help steering him into the right direction and he will make someone a great friend for many years.

You just need to put in the training to help him become best furry fella that he will become in the coming months.
