Doodle Aid are very sad and but with your support ,we need to find this gentle, sweetheart another home.

This rarely happens but sadly Honey needs another home ,this is no fault of Honey herself ,or her current owner.

Sometimes things occur in life that just happen and we just have to move on and start again.

Honey is a delightful girl ,just a complete one off,her current owner is totally smitten with her,but needs our support to find her another home asap.

Whoever is lucky enough to become Honeys new family, will have many happy years with a wonderful girl .

Honey can live with another dog, just need some meet and greets before the adoption takes place.

Or happy to be an only dog.

She is very good around children so happily rehome her with children aged 8 and above.

No cats please

We really like her new home to be her forever home, with a family willing to commit all the love they have to her,and put in a bit of training if possible.

Persons at home most of the day,as she adores company

A safe and secure garden 6 ft fences or walls, and a lockable gate

Grooming Requirements

Honey does have a beautiful curly coat when not clipped short, this shows her lovely tri colours.

She only sheds minimally,as all dogs shed some amount

She will need to be brushed through to several times a week,as doodles coats can matt very easily.

Honey does not mind the grooming experience and has attended a Professional Groomers many times,we recommend every 8 weeks.

Exercise

Before Honey goes for a walk she may get a bit excited jump up,have a treat ready and request a sit from her.Keep doing this and practice will make perfect in time.

Honey may pull on her lead,so some practice with loose training would be preferable

I get excited when someone says going to the shops for chocolates

Honey enjoys going for her walks, she is walking in quiet places and on a long training lead.

Has passed dogs out on her walks some she is reactive too others she is non reactive. Its always good to check what’s in view so you can gauge the situation.

We suggest building up her confidence slowly ,not walking by busy roads,go places Honey is comfortable with.

A great way to practice recall is to hire a paddock cost around £6 for 30 minutes.

Never force a dog into something they do not want to do,take things at their pace this will always help in the long run, with building confidence for them.

Never allow a rescue dog off lead until you have complete trust .

General information

Honey is a real sweetie ,a very placid girl, that just needs special people that she can spend time with and gain her confidence and trust.

Honey absolutely needs companionship with humans ,not to be left whilst working full time, needs persons at home with her to make her feel loved and secure.

Not being left more than a few hours per day.

Honey has never shown an aggressive behaviour and has never bitten

She would not manage doggy daycare ,or going out in mass with a dog walkers so please do not put her in that situation.

Honey is house trained, but like with any new dog coming into a new environment expect the unexpected.

She has never been in a crate ,so please do not force this onto her

At present she sleeps on the fosters bed she settles there quickly

Her new owners will need to be with her at night as she needs this security around her.

Not destructive in a home

Travels well in the car ,we suggest in a car safety harness

Can be reactive to loud traffic lorries or buses, but this is improving

She loves playing fetch with footballs/tennis balls but may destroy them, likes to have soft toys to have in her mouth when she’s is excited or greets you

Honey needs special people to give her all she needs, and time to help her build her confidence up again.

With rescue dogs nothing is a quick fix, they just need your guidance love and attention

Never expect too much from any rescue dog ,when you adopt you are then their life and saviour to help them adjust.
