Please read every single detail fully before applying,if you do not match the criteria do not apply.

Introducing Nova a Bernedoodle

Nova is located in Merseyside Post Code Area WA9,you must be prepared to travel to carry out meets and greets

This will be discussed prior to fostering with one of the Trustee’s

Nova is seeking a foster home ,due to personal circumstances within her family

Her owners have owned her since she was 10 weeks of age

She is not being rehomed because of her medical issue at all,as her family have covered all costs ,for her medical bills including a referral to the specialist in the past

This gorgeous girl is only three years old ,has her whole life ahead of her,and no way were Doodle Aid not going to offer to help her

Nova has a condition called Idiopathic generalised tremor syndrome, is a fairly common disorder of acute onset whole body tremors

This started when she was about a year old, after using flea treatments

Crossbreeds are affected most commonly by (41.3%)

This is also called Shaker Syndrome more info here https://vcahospitals.com/know.../shaker-syndrome-in-dogs

Nova does not have these attacks that often, once you get to know her you will see her body language change and you will be prepared

These episodes can last up to ten days with Nova

She has been on medication ,her owners feel they were making her gain weight and always on the look out for food

Nova’s family have taken great care of her ,she has had many tests at their own vets and was referred to specialist vet

Bloods have been taken and an MRI carried out,we do have all the vet history

Nova cannot be spayed ,this comes with the advice from the vets ,this is due to the general anaesthetic and her condition

Vaccinations, flea, tick and worming are at a stand still at present as these pesticides may make her condition worse

Whilst in Foster care we will ask the fosters to take Nova to the vets for a complete health check ,and if she needs to see another specialist we would expect them to take her there as well

Nova can lead a normal long life if we can help you all know Doodle Aid will move heaven and earth for dogs in our care, working along side her fosters.

Together we can all make a difference we are certain,so let’s try together.

Nova is a real sweetheart,a bit of a couch potato as with her condition she does not want to exercise far.

She is goofy and very loving you could not ask for a more sweet natured dog.

Nova lives with a few other dogs and mixes well,we will also have her Brother from another Mother ,Finn up for rehoming ,they do not need to be rehomed together

Whilst in foster we do state do not let foster dogs off lead, unless in a safe hired dog paddock

Nova May also pull on her lead,so some loose lead training will help

Whilst out and about Nova interacts well with other dogs

Further information

Nova is truly a darling and it’s sad that at such a young age she has a medical condition

Her temperament ;- She’s just silly , daft as a brush her owners stated in a nice way,not the brightest of dogs but boisterous and sweet and affectionate with people she knows.

Typical of a large heavy dog who thinks she’s tiny she will try to climb on your knee, knock little children down, bang into furniture and squeeze herself into small spaces!

Note Nova has not got a bad bone in her body ,never been aggressive and never bitten

When she was a puppy she did attend puppy classes

Her General obedience is far can sit, stay and shake paw

Likes people can be a bit boisterous and get over excited at times

Nova is well socialised

She has tried to pinch food out of little children’s hands, this is why we are only going with having older children in the home

Her diet consists of Harringtons dry food and Neutro ( Doodle Aid will supply this for her diet)

She likes all treats as a foodie ,so great to know for training

She is toilet trained ,we are told she may need a poo at night as her owners feed her in the evening

Nova sleeps in her owners bedroom of a night

Her owners work from home so she us not left for long ,ok for a few hours without any issues

Non destructive in her home

Used to have a crate but she broke out if it ,she takes her self off to the other dogs crates sometimes in the house

Loves to travel in the car

She does not cope well with the heat or hot weather

Loves to lay in the garden

Loves to sit with you and watch a movie,so don’t forget the doggy popcorn

Nova’s owners adore her but sadly with such personal issues going on,they feel she needs more than they can give her

They will miss her deeply ,so we need to find her the best foster home we can

All potential foster homes will be fully vetted and a homecheck will be carried out

If you live in rented accommodation ,we will ask for documentation ,that a dog can live in this house

Doodle Aid will do everything possible to support Nova and her fosters,we are available 24/7 if you need us.

All expenses will be at our expense, all we ask in return is to love her like your own ,and to keep in contact with us.

Fosters always have the first choice of adopting where possible

Once you have really read everything and you feel you can help Nova please do apply to foster
