Showboating means :- Showboating is someone showing the rescue dog off as soon as they are adopted. Either taking the dog to see people, go to pub or have lots of visitors to your house to say hello in the first week or so. The first week is about you and the dogs getting used to each other, allowing time to adjust and learning to trust each other rather than showing the dog off.

Grooming Requirements

Nugmegs coat has a slight curl, she only sheds minimally as all dogs shed some amount.

Her owners give her a brush and comb through a few times a week, whilst she sits next to them.

She is ok with being groomed, not overly keen on her legs and tail being groomed.

Professionally groomed every 6 weeks and is good at the groomers.

Exercise

Nutmeg at present is not getting the exercise or stimulation she requires.

Her owners are trying their best ,but with poor health it can be difficult for them.

They know they cannot give Nutmeg all she the exercise she requires ,but do manage to walk her a few times a week.

Nugmeg has no recall at all , she does not go off her lead.

This is something that will need addressing, lots of practice and even joining a training class would be beneficial for her future.

Nugmeg may pull on her lead on occasions, other times she is really good.

May bark at other dogs, but never has been aggressive around other dogs.

Gerneral Information

Nugmeg is still only a young dog, needs time to adjust into her new home, with her new people.

A loving and affectionate girl, enjoys being around her humans, sometimes can be needy.

Can get excited if visitors come to the home ,will jump up,but will soon settle.

Nutmeg is an energetic girl ,needs more exercise and playtime.

She also enjoys her relaxation time and fuss from her family.

General obedience can be improved ,she knows how to sit,lie down and give paws.

Nugmeg’s main issue with is her separation anxiety, and her anxiety whilst in the car, she will whine and bark when she see's other dogs and she will bark at cars etc too.

She is toilet trained, but we do advise accidents may occur whilst a new dog gets used to their environment.

Nutmeg sleeps in her owners bedroom, either beside them in her bed,or on their bed.

(Because of her separation anxiety ,she likes to know you are nearby)

Never been crated

Was destructive in the home when a puppy, but never chewed furniture

She wears a harness in the car and is clipped to a chain that goes around the headrest, had to change from the normal seatbelt clip as she would chew through them

We are informed Nutmeg does not have any dislikes.

Loves her toys ,plays fetch and likes her kong balls

Her owners are heartbroken to rehome Nutmeg, and we have made a promise we will find the best home we possibly can

All potential applicants will be subjected to a full vetting and a visual homecheck.

If you live in rented accommodation ,we will ask for documentation that a dog can live in the property .

Once you see applications closed,we will contact everyone in due course.

We are a small team and may not respond to emails promptly, please allow 24 hours for a response
