Binky : Now adopted

Please read very carefully before applying for Binky ,this is a sad situation so really need your help folks.

ONCE APPLICATIONS STATE CLOSE EVERYONE WILL BE CONTACTED

Location Bedfordshire Post Code Area MK43 ,you will be requested to travel attend several meet and greets.

Binky is a much loved family member, sadly his owner is not managing well after a bereavement in the family ,along with other personal circumstances out of their control.

Binky has to come first so this is why his owner desperately needs our help.

He has become too much for his owner to handle at times,he needs more than they can give him.

Sadly Binky has become an anxious boy,we do not know if this is because he lost one of his humans. This could well be a huge factor with his nervous behaviour.

We recommend some training and lots of reassurance.

Binky can be rehomed with another dog (we request several meet and greets ,until everyone is happy with the situation)

Children need to be aged 13 and over as Binky is a bit of a goof and doesn’t always know his own strengths.Would knock little persons over unattendually.Binky dislikes small children becomes anxious and will give a warning growl if they annoy him.

If you are planning to have children,or have visiting young children this is not the dog for you.

No cats please

A safe and secure garden,if you have a gate we request there’s a lock on it.

No showboating Binky for at least a week,he needs to settle in his new environment with his new people.

If you live in rented accommodation we will ask for documentation that a dog can live in this property.

If you have any holidays planned please state on your application form

Grooming Requirements

Binky has a curly coat, sheds mininally, all dogs shed some amount of hair

He has a wool coat ,brushed several times a week.

He does not mind the whole grooming experience ,he actually likes to be groomed.

Binky is professionally groomed every 6 weeks and is kept quite short.

Exercise

Binky gets walked once a day at present

He does pull on his lead,we suggest some loose lead training going forward.

His recall does need some working on,he will come back if you have a treat. Gets distracted by other dogs very easily ,so cannot be off his lead unless there is no one about.

We suggest doing some one to one training in a secure dog paddock, which can be hired at good rate.

When Binky is on his lead he tends to bark or growl at other dogs,if off lead we are told this situation is better.

Binky does attend a dog sitter and interacts with their dogs fine ,running around off lead in the garden and safe areas.

General Information

Binky is your typical goofy doodle, full of mischief, lively, bouncy, affectionate and gets anxious at times.

Not happy to be around young children, this makes him fearful ,he has never bitten but will give a warning growl if they come too close.

With adults once he gets to know them he is fine, sure some tasty treats will encourage him to be your forever friend.

With new people entering his home he will bark, but will settle in time.

Binky’s owners state he is an anxious dog, which can make him a bit 'jumpy' and prone to barking. At home, he barks at the postman and any delivery person. This makes him an excellent guard dog but it can be quite difficult when you want some peace and quiet.

Binky is toilet trained, but with any new dog coming into a new environment they may have an accident,so be prepared for any accidents.

At night time Binky sleeps in the kitchen

Binky can be left for 3 to 4 hours per day,we do not recommend leaving any dog any longer .

If you are to become his new owners we ask you take some holidays to settle him in his new home,he will be quite anxious as he has already lost a family member.

Binky has never been destructive in his home but please note he is a bin raider

He is not crate trained

Travels well in the car ,he sits on the back seat strapped into a dog seat belt.

Dislikes water so will not swim

Binky likes pulling on toys and pulling games. He also likes having toys thrown at him to catch.

Binky is a loving dog and likes to sleep with his head on your lap. He is quite anxious though which can be challenging in certain situations.

All potential applicants will be subjected to a full homecheck and we do request some ID.

We are a small team of two,so we may not respond to emails promptly, please allow 24 hours for any replies

Thank you
