Location Preston PR4 ,the potential applicant will be requests to do several meet and greets.
Poppy is looking for a new home ,due to personal work commitments within her family.
Her family have found this decision very hard ,but feel they need to put Poppy’s needs before their own.
No full time workers as this is why now Poppy is looking for a new home,we do not want to be in the same situation with her.
Poppy needs human bonding and time for Poppy.
We are looking for a home that persons are fully fit & active whom have lots of energy and time to give to Poppy.Poppy is a little pocket rocket of fun and very energetic,loves people and loves to please.
Poppy can occasionally mouth when over excited but she hasn’t shown agression or bitten.
Will rehome Poppy with another dog,if your dog is male we will require a note from your vet to state he is neutered.
Poppy would need to be in a home with older children aged 12 and over please
This is due to her sheer giddiness and excitement,assent may jump up and knock little people over by accident.
She does live with a cat,but tends to chase.If you are a cat owner they would have to be introduced slowly under complete supervision
No showboating the first week,Poppy needs time to settle in her new environment with her new people
Do not allow Poppy off her lead until you have complete control of her recall ,many dogs can go missing or get stolen whilst off leads.
We request a safe and secure garden,with no gaps in fences etc.If you have a gate it must have a lock on it.
If you live in rented accommodation we will require documentation that a dog can live within your home
If you have a holiday planned please state this on your application form

Poppy has had two ear infections since the age of 12 weeks old.
We do advise to check and clean Poppy’s ears once a week.
No known allergies we are aware of
Grooming Requirements bath
Poppy has a curly coat,hardly sheds if at all.
Brushed and combed weekly ,this is a must with any doodles coats to stop matting.
Visits a Professional Groomers every 8 week,there she is a very good girl.
Exercise
Poppy is taken for two good walks per day.
She may pull on her lead,when she gets very excited.Some loose lead training will help.
Her recall needs some attention,a good idea would be to hire a private paddock ,where her new owners can practice her recall.
Poppy interacts well with other dogs,loves other dogs ,is keen to greet everyone. She can however walk past dogs nicely with the promise of a treat.
Poppy attends training classes weekly. She has passed the kennel club puppy training course and is now working towards her bronze good citizen award.
General information
Poppy is a very friendly little dog,who thrives on love and attention.
She is well socialised and her general obedience is good.
Highly energetic little doggy who needs an active home.
With respect of food,Poppy is a grazer will discuss further to the potential applicant,about diet and her feeding guidelines.
Loves a Yak bar to nibble on and sometimes some Smacko’s.
Poppy is toilet trained,but as with any rescue dog entering a new and strange environment ,you may occur an accident or two.
Poppy is crate trained ,she likes to sleep in her crate at night as she feels secure there and snuggled up.
With car travel she is not overly keen but will manage (travels in a soft crate in the boot)
Dislikes scooters or bikes when they come close to her
Likes her squeaky balls and her teddies
Poppy has never really swam,but likes to paddle in the water
We cannot express enough ,by reading all this advert you can see how much Poppy is loved by her family.
Doodle Aid wants to find her a home ,where she is loved equally with people that are willing to continue with her activities, and a life-style around Poppy’s needs please.
A full vetting and homecheck will be required for any potential applicants,along with this we will need some form of ID to be submitted.
