River : Looking for a forever home.

INTRODUCING PRETTY RIVER ,LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME

PLEASE DO READ ALL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ,BEFORE APPLYING,IF YOU DO NOT MEET OUR CRITERIA DO NOT APPLY

River is based in Greater Manchester area you must be willing to travel ,for as many meet and greets as required.

Her owners adore River ,with recent change of working circumstances River is not getting all she so needs,and they feel River deserves so much more.

River can be rehomed as an only dog ,or with ONE other dog.

IF MALE HE MUST BE NEUTERED,WE WILL ASK YOU TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION FROM YOUR VETS .

Can live with children age 10 and over

River does live with a cat ,so we will consider a home with a cat as long as you are prepared to carry out slow introductions

To be prepared for some extra training ,this will help with bonding

NO FULL TIME WORKERS PLEASE ,AS THIS IS WHY SHE IS LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME

Gardens must be 100% secure,fences,walls etc must be at least 5 to 6 feet tall.

Gates must have some sort of locking mechanism

Meet River

Type Standard Size Goldendoodle (more poodle like than retriever)

Age will be 5 in February

River is not spayed ,this will be carried out under our rehoming contract

Vaccinations will need updating (Doodle Aid is happy to contribute)

Flea/tick treated December 2024

Health :- had yeast build up in ears,so do clean ears at least once a week.

No known allergies

Grooming

River has a curly coat , sheds minimally as all does shed some amount.

She does get brushed at home ,sometimes likes it other times not fusssed.

Her coat is kept fairly short ,for easy grooming aspects.

Attends a Professional Groomers every 2 months for a full groom.

Exercise

River gets walked for an hour a day ,she would benefit with more exercise and stimulation.

She is walked on a Halti ,will pull in excitement going on her walks,coming home no pulling.

Her recall is good,as a responsible charity we do state never let a rescue dog off lead until you have complete trust in one another.

River whilst off lead likes to sniff other dogs,will voice a growl and bark to play,it’s non aggressive but many people do not understand dogs body language.

River has never shown any aggression behaviour we are told by her owners.

General Information

River is your typical fun loving doodle,she enjoys attention and can be very calm and laid back.

She is a polite well mannered dog.

Her obedience is good ,knows some commands sit,paw stay toilet etc

Can be nervous around some people,once you gain her trust she will be your friend

Very good around children,has been taught to be gentle around them

River is toilet trained and knows the word toilet

She sleeps in her own bed at night

Can be left a few hours per day

River is not crate trained

Travels well in the car either in the boot or on the back seat,in a safety belt

River dislikes loud bangs,this does include fireworks

Dislikes the water

Loves to play fetch

River is a kind gentle young lady, she loves and cares, is very quiet keeps herself to herself at times. LOVES TO BE SCRATCHED,AND LOVED
