Buddy : Adopted

Please read all the information fully for Buddy,if you do not match his criteria do not apply

Location Brighton ,Postcode area BN5 ,we will request several visit before the adoption process takes place.

Buddy is looking for a new home ,as his lovely owners are finding things a bit much at present.

This is no fault on Buddy as he is a super boy.

WOULD BENEFIT WITH MORE TRAINING GOING FORWARD

Buddy to be the only dog in the home

Can live with children aged 10 and over

He does live with a cat,if you have a cat ,we recommend slow introduction

No full time workers please ,Buddy would like company at home

Safe and secure garden fences/walls at least 6 foot ,and locks on gates

If you have a holiday planned please state dates on your application form

Vaccinated booster due November 2024

Flea/tick/ worming up to date

No known allergies ,in good health as far as we are aware

Grooming Requirements

Buddy has a soft slightly curly coat,more Labrador than poodle

PLEASE NOTE BUDDY DOES SHED MINIMALLY

Likes being brushed and this is done once a week.

Buddy attends a professional groomers every 8 weeks,but does have baths at home in between.

Exercise

Buddy has a few walks a day ,also his owners take him to a private dog paddock.

In the private dog paddock this is where Buddy is let off his lead,for zoomies.

We are told is recall is good ,but you must continue with this as practice is so good for any dogs.

PLEASE NOTE DO NOT LET BUDDY OFF LEAD ,UNLESS YOU HAVE 100% TRUST HE WILL RETURN TO YOU.

At the start of Buddy’s walk he may pull on his lead,but once he gets going this calms down.

He interacts well with other dogs whilst out,wants to be everyone’s playmate.

General Information

Buddy is your typical fun loving,a bit goofy at times,lively,gets giddy and over excited ,loves attention and cuddles especially on his belly.

He has NEVER shown any aggressive behaviour towards humans,dogs or cats.

Buddy’s general obedience is fair,would benefit with more training

He does live with children and another dog,but wants the attention to be about him

Put your t -towels and socks away as Buddy will chew these,never been operated on to removed ,they have reappeared at the other end.

Buddy likes a delicacy called poo and will eat this,Doodle Aid is quite happy to discuss ways to elimate this ,if you require our input.

He is toilet trained ,but we always state ,be prepared with any dogs for minor incidents in a different environment.

Buddy is crate trained ,likes his crate it’s his den,if his owners go out for short periods of time , he goes in his crate.

He also sleeps in his crate at bedtime.

Transportation Buddy goes in the boot of the car,he stands up most of the time ,as he likes to look out the windows.

Owners state they have not known Buddy to dislike or be scared of anything

Buddy loves the water ,a real water baby

Not really interested in toys

Much prefers his belly being rubbed ,and lots of attention

Buddy is genuinely a very gentle dog, there is not a bad bone in his body. He loves strokes and belly rubs. He really is like Buddy the elf, caring, happy, and very loving.His owners believe he needs to be in a home where he is the only dog ,as he loves the attention to be on him.

If you live in rented accommodation we will require documentation that a dog can live in the property.
