Note on your Nelly

Many of you will remember Nelly who came into our care this time last year after loosing her human Mummy and Daddy and her furry Sister all within weeks of each other.

Nelly had a few health issues and we all were very very concerned about her as she was an older lady.

With your donations Nelly was taken to the vets by her foster family regularly and she even had to have major surgery.

Her coat was not in a good way and a lovely groomer donated a groom especially for Nelly.

Nelly’s foster family went to the moon and back to do everything possible to help this little girl recover from her sad ordeals.

Nelly has since been adopted by her foster family and their Cockapoo, Toby.

Doodle Aid will be forever grateful to all the love everyone has shown this beautiful girl.

It is 1 year to the day that we answered a very sad advert for our little girl who needed an immediate foster. We never imagined that we would be lucky enough to have been picked, but 1 year on it's like she's always been here.

We've worked through her quirks to understand her better, she certainly understand us and has fitted into the rhythm of family life amazingly. She has worked her way through sleeping in every room in the house now deciding the kids bedrooms are best, she has a specific spot on the settee that as far as she is concerned is hers, we have been on holidays, day trips, outings in the woods/park, she loves ham and just being close to you. She is my shadow and even let's toby think hes in charge every once in a while.

We can not thank you enough for trusting us with this beautiful old soul and all the help and support you offered/gave us. You truly all are wonderful people who put your heart and soul into making the dogs lives better.
