Pickle : Ready for adoption

Please do read very carefully before applying for Pickle ,only apply if you fit her criteria

Location West Sussex ,Post code area BN16.

The potential applicant will be expected to carry out several meet and greets.

Pickle is looking for a home due to not connecting with the other females in the household. The dynamics are just not working with so many females in the home.

She lives with the Mother dog ,and another siblings.

Pickle has never been used for breeding.

There’s some resource guarding going on over toys and food at times with Pickle

We suggest no long lasting treats

Pickle thinks she is head of the household, and can suffer slight separation anxiety if the female in the home is not close by.

Seems Pickle is a little bit of a Pickle

Home we are looking for is a couple ,whom can spend some time with Pickle ,perhaps putting some training into practice

Children over the age of 13

No cats will chase

Safe and secure garden

If you have a holiday planned please state further on your application form

Pickle goes for regular walks and also likes to play in the garden

May pull on her lead on the way to the park, but on the way back walks on a nice loose lead.

Her recall is good, but we as a responsible charity ,do not advise any rescue dog being off lead unless you have 100% trust.

Whilst out on walks Pickle will bark at some bigger dogs in her vicinity.

Her general obedience is classed as good.

General information

Pickle is a loving and cuddly dog ,enjoys human company.

She was a lockdown puppy ,so lacks a bit of social skills, which can be be helped by some training with her new owners.

The behaviour triggers are the hoover, mop, brush, spade and she will go mad. Resource guards her toys/food. Eats balls so they are a no go.

Both dogs are raw feeders and treats are all natural

Pickle is toilet trained, but as with any rescue dog coming into a strange environment do be prepared for any accidents.

She sleeps on her owners bed at night

Can be left alone for a few hours per day (owner has a camera on the dogs ,Pickle likes to be able to look out the window .Will bark at other dogs that pass by the window)

Was destructive as a puppy, but not as an adult

Not crate trained

Travels well in the car ,in a car safety harness

Nervous around big dogs

Likes the beach and the sea

Pickle has teddies, owners slippers and hard chewy toys. Won’t drop and eats balls so they are a no go!

She is the most loyal, loving girl to her human

She loves to snuggle up in bed/on the sofa
