Spencer is looking for a new home ,due to not adjusting to a baby who has just started walking.

His life changed when the little one joined the family, it’s been a difficult for Spencer’s well-being as the baby makes him anxious. The adults in the home have also gone back to work full time.

Spencer needs more than they can give him,and hard as it is for them they want the best for their much loved dog,so decided he would be best placed in a home where he gets the attention.

Doodle Aid requires the following for Spencer :-

Persons/person at home most of the day,as we do not want Spencer being left any longer than 2 hours in a day.Unless it’s for a good reason he is left longer.

Spencer is an anxious boy,and he can get spooked by things out on his walks.Several times he has ran back home home on his own from the parks.

This is something his new owners would need to be aware of ,his owners cannot put their finger on why he occasionally does do this.

Only happened 5 times in four years.

Can go into a new home with “ONE other dog” ,not a multi household of dogs please.

Children over the age of 13 ONLY.

As he still may jump up ,and get over excited, resulting in accidentally knocking little persons over.

IF YOUR CONSIDERING STARTING A FAMILY IN THE FUTURE THIS IS NOT THE DOG FOR YOU ,SORRY.

No cats

A safe and secure garden, with fences/walls at least 6 foot and locks on any gates

If you live in rented accommodation we will ask for documentation that a dog can live in this property

If you gave any hoildays planned now or in the future, please state on the application form

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PLEASE DO NOT SHOWBOAT ANY NEW RESCUE DOG JOINING YOUR FAMILY.

This means not showing the dog off ,not inviting people to your home, not taking him to new places too quickly.

Allow him or her,to settle in your home,in your garden, with only the family that lives in your home.

This is most important for any dog.

Just imagine being torn away from a family you have been with since birth,to strangers and a strange home.

You may have another dog, they need time to settle with each other yes they may have words with each other.

Grooming Requirements

Spencer has a super curly coat ,sheds minimally ,all dogs shed some amount.

Is brushed regularly at home.

Attends a Professional Groomers every 3 months.

It’s most important to keep up with grooming any doodle ,as they can get seriously matted.

Exercise

Spencer is walked twice a day, enjoys his exercise.

His recall is good,we state with any new dogs joining new people ,do not let them off lead until you have complete trust with each other.

As stated ,Spencer can take flight if he hears something ,nobody is sure why or what he is anxious about,so please be aware of this.

Spencer may pull on his lead when needing to go to poo,or in excitement getting to the park.

Once he is in the park ,and his energy is let out, he walks much nicer on his lead.

Whilst out and about Spencer likes to do lots of sniffing, this is great for any dogs well being.

He likes to interact with sone other dogs ,and chooses who he likes to play with.

General Information

Spencer is a super cool doodle, lively, goofy, very friendly ,likes to play, affectionate and can be very calm.

We are told he is well socialised and his obedience is very good.

He is good around people ,babies can make him anxious ,but older calm children he is very good with.

Spencer has never ever shown any signs of aggression, even when he gets told off by other dogs he runs away.

Your typical happy go lucky doodle ,who, loves human interaction and fuss.

Spencer is feed three times a day

NOTE are is on a special diet ,Purina HA Hypoallergenic dry food, can purchase on Amazon a 11 kg bag for around £60.

Treats are limited to particular ones he can digest easily, without upsetting his system.

He is toilet trained, but as with any new dogs entering a new environment please be prepared for the unexpected.

Spencer is not crated and not crate trained

He happily sleeps downstairs on his own bed.The first few nights ,his new owners might need to stay with him just to reassure him he is ok.

Can be left a few hours,a little longer if any emergency occurs

Never been destructive in his home

Travels well in the boot of his owners car

Spencer has never shown interest in water ie swimming

He loves his toy collection ,especially playing tug of war, playing fetch, and his favourite is his hand puppets.

We cannot stress enough ,his owners have been torn with this decision and have been as honest as they possibly can about Spencer.

They love him dearly, but he is so anxious around their little one ,it’s just not fair on him.

All they want is their precious boy to be a happy chap, for the rest of his days.

Spencer is a gentleman ,and just needs to be in a home where he gets lots of attention.
